This picture is making the unsuspecting public believe in magnificent and unusual "Northern Lights" phenomena. The streaky things are being called "cirrus" clouds, when in fact they are sprayed materials in a poor man-made cirrus imitation. There was lots of this in San Diego yesterday, but without the refraction seen here which forms what is being called "God's rainbow" in this picture. This picture was taken at the Idaho-Washington border.
Please help your friends and neighbors see clearly and not in a Rapture-like hallucinatory way ...
